This is the stuff I’ve been looking for… I initially had been purchasing the “Curry Crab” spice mix, because it sounded very interesting and I’ve seen videos on “Curry Crab,” before, so it was one of the ones I was interested in trying when I saw this mix listed when I placed my first order over a year ago. It ended up reminding me instantly of the “Singapore Mei Fun” that I had previously at one of my favorite Chinese Takeout spots, so it was one of my “Go to Spices,” and the most purchased (6 in a year of Curry Crab, 5 of Chili Powder). and while I enjoyed the Curry Crab, I had also purchased one of these “Curry Powder” 4oz packages back during the last year’s New Year’s 20-50% off, but I never opened it and tried it… Until about a month go, when I decided I wanted to try it out and see, because I am into Indian Cooking and was looking to purchase more Indian Spices and mixes here at Pinch, so I wanted to see what the Curry Powder Tasted like… Well…. Lets just say I think I messed up getting those Curry Crab mixes all this time…. and not trying the Curry Powder is almost a year….. The Curry Powder is EXACTLY what I was looking for, and I believe that was the spice that was in the “Singapore Mei Fun” not the “Curry Crab.” The Curry Crab is also great, but with the whole curry leaves, lemongrass, and such, but it seems to be more of a spice mix for soups/stocks which seems to fit the “Curry Crab’ dish. While Curry Powder has Curry Leafs also, they are ground up. This is an incredible spice mix, and I basically have started replacing everything I used to use Curry Crab for, with this Curry Powder. While I think the Curry Crab still has it’s uses, because it does have a number of added ingredients that enhance the base “Curry Powder,” I do like that this is “Salt Free,” whereas the Curry Crab’s first ingredient is salt, so it has a bit of salt in it, when I like Salt-Free Blends. Overall, this is an incredibly flavorful spice mix that can be used in a number of cuisines to add incredible amounts of flavor. I was blown away by the flavor of this, and I’m so glad I ended up trying it out! My biggest regret is not trying this sooner, as it’s now going to be one of my top favorites/purchases Thanks Pinch as always!
