Every store bought organic chili powder I’ve ever tried has been nothing but disappointing. Usually too salty, too spicy without being noted on the label, and almost always just plain stale. I really love that Pinch’s is not only super fresh and delicious, but salt-free– it’s actually pretty difficult to find an organic salt-free chili powder from the stores where I live (WI). I’ve always had problems storing chili powder because of the fact that it’s stale to begin with and quickly loses flavor. With Pinch’s being so fresh, it keeps much longer and I appreciate that, as I don’t use chili powder a whole lot these days. However when I use it, I always put an extra, particularly for a big old batch of chili, because I like it extra flavorful. I also add Buffy’s garlic blend to my chili, and both seem to make a huge difference in the flavor. People have actually commented on my chili being one of the best they’ve ever tried, and I firmly believe it’s because of the freshness of Pinch spices.
