Pogues Irish Triple Distilled Whiskey 40% 0.7L Pogues Irish Whiskey is the result of a collaboration between the Pogues and the independent, and primarily innovative, West Cork Distillers. Their goal was to create a new Irish whiskey that would be extremely smooth and easy to enjoy. But at the same time, it had to be very versatile so that consumers could enjoy it however they wanted – neat, on the rocks, or in mixed drinks or cocktails. And they certainly succeeded. Additionally, they utilized the legendary skills of the famous Frank McHardy, a whiskey expert with 50 years of experience, to perfect this blend. Pogues Single Malt Irish whiskey is distilled at the Great Northern distillery. The barley is sourced exclusively from Ireland and is malted by a local maltster. It carries the aroma of baked tea biscuits, jam, and vanilla beans. The taste resembles dates and ginger cake with lychee, banana, and vanilla pudding. The finish is of spice, gingerbread, and charred oak.
